All the Antivirus and firewall’s on your device should be Disabled.

Download the Following packages-ICS 4.0.4 rom and wifi module
Drag Both the files on to your SD card
Flash the kernel from the above link in prerequisites
Restart your phone
Now turn off your Sony Xperia ray and enter the CWM
To enter recovery mode Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down button + Power Button till the time your phone restarts.
Select ‘Install ZIP from SD card’ and then select ‘Choose ZIP from SD card’ Select the downloaded Rom from Official Thread
Do the same with wifi module file too
After the choosing the file restart your phone and it will take 5-10 Minutes for booting
